Verdantips is a mobile app that helps you find sustainable restaurants near you. You can choose which of our 13 sustainability icons matter most to you and easily see which restaurants are making efforts to reduce their environmental impact in those categories. Whether it’s offering plant-based options, sustainable meat, organic produce, reducing single-use plastics, using renewable energy, and more, now you can easily choose to dine at a restaurant that aligns with your values and is helping the planet.

How does it work?
Restaurants complete a questionnaire about our sustainability icons, and, based on their answers, receive an icon for that category if it meets our thresholds.

Our aim is to showcase the efforts of all the restaurants that are doing things right and working hard to reduce their carbon footprint; however, we do not audit or certify them. That is where the Verdant community comes in! You, our trustworthy user, have the power to report (easily through the app) any discrepancies between the icons and your experience when you visit a restaurant, so we know to look at the issue in detail.

The beta version of our app is now available in Barcelona! In this version you can find the following features:
- Locate nearby sustainable restaurants in seconds
- Set your preferred sustainability values to quickly find the restaurants that best fit
- Raise an issue about a restaurant’s stated measures directly to us in the app
- Save restaurants to your Favorites list
- Navigate to a selected restaurant using Google Maps
- English language version
